Yarnspinners Primary Health Care Centre

Nelson’s new £6.3 million health centre opened for business in 2005 on the site of the old Yarnspinners Wharf warehouse on the banks of the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

The new health centre provides a range of services including seven General Practices, Treatment and Minor Operations Suites. Podiatry, Dental, Speech & Language, Orthoptics, Paediatric, Audiology and Hearing Therapy departments, as well as Community Nursing Services and Training Facilities.

Diamond Interiors were entrusted with furnishing the entire three floor building including all the waiting areas, training rooms, staff rooms, storage areas, back offices and GP suites. The Nelson project was the second site (along with Bacup and Darwen) that Diamond had furnished as part of the East Lancashire £19.3 million building programme.
